This analytics consultancy works with data and analytics to help household name businesses to understand their customers better. They have a great record of employing graduates, and are now looking to add another to their Data Science team.
You will be travelling to the other business site on occasion to mix with the team there, including working on projects together.
And you will also be visiting clients at times- though most of these are in London. This will include communicating recommendations based on data analysis. You will also be in regular contact with the clients, passing on updates etc. So you must be happy communicating with people.
The role itself will have a strong focus on delivering regular analytics support to the clients by working with their data and understanding their business challenges to deliver clear actionable results. Working alongside our Senior Data Scientists you will also have the ability to develop and grow your skills in more advanced analytics including working with machine learning algorithms across a range of services and learning how to productionise models in end-to-end solutions.
At first you will be more focused on the support side, for example building dashboards, but in time you can work towards project management and predictive analytics. You will be working with a range of data including digital, and customer databases.
You should have a logical mindset, with at least a 2:1 in a degree such as Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or Data Science.
Strong coding skills are required, and you should have knowledge of at least one of SQL, Python and/or R coding. You can then be trained in the others. However, if you have used Matlab for example that is also ok, as you will have the aptitude to learn.
Some knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker would be ideal.
You will also be utilising web analytics tools including Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
Once restrictions are lifted, it is expected that you will be required to visit the London office at least once a week- however, as a graduate it will be better if you are there more often- so you will need to be based within commuting distance of central London.
Only candidates who are eligible to work in the UK without restriction can be considered.
