Position title
Graduate BREEAM Assessor
Description

This business provides services to a range of clients across the construction industry. They have invested in the latest software, and have a strong training and development programme. Graduates have previously joined the business and done very well.

You’ll learn a lot from experienced colleagues, and will quickly be given responsibility to manage your own work and time.

There is a big focus on ongoing learning and development. You’ll get full support and guidance for personal and professional development. And you’ll be supported towards gaining professional accreditations.

 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

BREEAM is the World’s leading assessment method for buildings; it’s effectively the project management of the environmental aspects of construction. You’ll be learning how to carry out these assessments. In time you’ll be managing several of these projects at once.

You’ll be providing sustainability related advice to clients (for example, architects, engineers, and contractors); including making recommendations where improvements can be made, so assessments will be passed.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED…

You’ll need to show an interest in BREEAM; ideally you will have studied it to some extent, perhaps through a module in your degree (though you don't need to have used it in a job yet).

This is very much about working with buildings, not the broader environmental field. In terms of degree type, something related to Construction, or Architecture would be ideal. But others will be considered if you have some interest in BREEAM (and can demonstrate it; if you've just googled it then that won't be enough.

You'll need good time management and organisational skills; in addition to good problem solving skills.

WHERE YOU’LL BE DOING IT

The offices are based in Leeds and Nottingham, and there is a job in both of them. You’ll need to be based within commutable distance of either office.
