This Leicester based business are big players in a niche construction industry related market. There are also other smaller business in the group.
They are looking to add a recent graduate to their Procurement team.
The team plays a vital part in the business, and currently has two assistants who provide support with administration etc, and do a great job- but are not looking to progress beyond this. So the plan is to get a graduate in who can learn the role and progress in time.
Starting with the admin side, you will learn how things work, and get involved with things like placing orders, sourcing new products, dealing with supply chain issues, invoice queries, and much more.
After a year or so will be able to work on projects, for example looking at processes and see if you can make improvements.
In 3-5 years you could be Manager of the department.
You should be a recent graduate with a degree that includes some element of Buying / Purchasing / Procurement. You should be organised, and have good Excel skills.
In addition to learning from experienced staff you will be able to work towards CIPS qualification. Salary is between 21-22k plus CIPS training. You will receive good pay increases as your skills and responsibilities develop.
Based in Leicester and commutable from north-east Birmingham, Coventry, south-Nottingham, Northampton, and Peterborough.
