Safety equipment Trainer - working with people and travelling

Does your ideal job involve plenty of work with people- but also a lot of time on your own while driving?

This business manufactures safety equipment that is used to safely evacuate mobility-impaired people from a dangerous situation, for example if a fire started. The equipment is very important for Health and Safety, particularly as businesses are legally required to have a means for all staff to safely exit the building.

The equipment is fairly easy to use, but users do require some training – which is where you come in. You will be travelling to see businesses and showing staff how to use it. You will be on your feet, presenting and doing demonstrations. As with any group of people, you may need to adjust your approach where required, so it is important that you can ‘read the room’ and make sure people are listening and understanding.

You will be developing relationships with the customers, and also looking to see if there may be any other opportunities for further business with them.

There is some flexibility in degree type, but if there is a link to Health & Safety or Training that would be ideal.

A car is provided, as well as expenses (including if you needed to stay overnight). A full-driving licence is essential. You will be booking and planning your visits. Some days will have early starts and late finishes whereas other more local training could mean an early finish.

You will need to be organised, a people-person, and happy dealing with any problems that may come up. If you have some kind of customer service, sales, or training, experience that would be ideal.

Roles are available to cover the  South-East and Midlands initially. And potentially in the North and South-West.
