This Birmingham based business is part of a global group, and is one of the World’s leading suppliers of a range of specialist metal products. The products are designed to order from the site.
They are looking to take on a graduate to replace someone who has been promoted. Your degree would ideally be related to process / production / manufacturing engineering.
You will be working across both the Planning and Process teams, it will be around 80% desk based, but particularly in the initial training period there will be shop-floor work too.
You will be ordering metal raw materials, and planning the movement of materials according to orders. This involves working with large numerical datasets, and complex process-related data, so you will need to have strong numerical skills – and be good with Microsoft Excel.
There will be plenty on, and you will be balancing various projects.
If you have knowledge of any of the following that would be great- but no problem if not as you can learn them:
Microsoft Access, SQL, IBM iSeries/ AS400, q-Pulse, ibaAnalyzer.
You will also learn how to work with ISO quality management systems.
Location is north-Birmingham, so commutable from areas including Walsall, and West Bromwich.
